Sunday Services @ 9:15am & 10:45am
Hello, Beautiful Friends! I hope you have had a wonderful week. Thanks for joining me today. This week has been a challenging week for me; reading & sketching through Psalms, praying AND following the study. I am grateful, however, for this season in life that allows me a little extra time to lean in and soak up what it means to be REDEEMED...
Aren't you amazed that Abba is willing to reach down into our pit and raise us up, to surround and support us as we walk this journey towards redemption?! As Christians this journey is taking us from salvation (changed from unbeliever to believer) to sanctification (changed into the image of Christ) to glorification (eternally, finally and fully changed into the likeness of Christ). God longs for us to experience His steadfast, perfect and unwavering Love. He is our Redeemer; Love's greatest promise kept. And if we are being redeemed then we should notice a shift in things. We have more confidence in Him and ourselves and begin to possess an acute awareness of our value and worth. This is what it looks like WHEN LOVE NEVER FAILS. We are restored to a right relationship with God and He promises to satisfy us with His goodness.
Let me ask you a couple of questions: Have you seen someone being changed as he or she continues to follow Jesus? Have you been able to step back and look at your life and see how God has changed you?
How did the first 5(7) days of the 40 day study go? Did you glean any new truths or notice something in the first 12 chapters of Psalms that you hadn't before?
As I read the Psalms I noticed how often the author cried out to God, either in distress or in praise reminding himself of the goodness of GOD. And what a wonderful example of how we can pray...I don't know if you are like me but often when I pause to pray I am at a loss for words. Here are some examples to help us...
When we can't sleep at night - Psalm 4:8, In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord make me dwell in safety.
When we need God to fight for us - Psalm 7:8-10, Let the Lord judge the peoples. Vindicate me, Lord, according to my righteousness, according to my integrity, O Most High. Bring to an end the violence of the wicked and make the righteous secure - - You, the righteous God who probes minds and hearts. My shield is God Most High who saves the upright in heart.
And these are just a couple of scriptures that we can use as a guide to communicate with our Heavenly Father.
I am praying for you this week that you would move forward in His grace and not allow fear to hold you back. Redemption is a process. And daily God supplies all we need to tackle whatever comes our way. If you need strength, He is El Elyon (the Lord as the strongest, strong One; the highest, high One; the most powerful, powerful One). If you need provision, He is Jehovah Jireh (the Lord will provide). If you need peace, He is Jehovah Shalom (the Lord our peace). He is El Shaddai (the all-sufficient One). He sees YOU, El Roi (the God who sees). And my favorite, He is Abba, Daddy God! Trust the process, this crazy journey for He walks with you, dear One!
And check out this song by Chris Tomlin, Nobody Loves Me Like You.
Hugs and Love to you all!
