Sunday Services @ 9:15am & 10:45am
Wow, friends! This past week's study started out pretty heavy, don't you think? Sin - - Separation - - Death! And then came my favorite part...
Adam and Eve broke covenant with God.
Sin entered. Consequences entered. Eternal separation entered.
Each one of us has sinned, and each one of us has broken covenant with God. BUT GOD HAS NOT BROKEN COVENANT WITH US.
Did you just read that??!! Our sin, the sin of our forefathers did not discourage God from His great and genuine love for us or cause Him to turn away from us. I am overwhelmed...
And then there's this...
God had a plan and love was His motive. This was THE PLAN (that was put in place even before Creation).
A plan to redeem His beloved from the consequences of sin,
A plan to restore our relationship with Him, and
A plan to be glorified every time someone freely chooses His Love.
God wants to redeem EVERYTHING in our lives - - (sin, separation, brokenness, suffering, pain, dysfunctional families, our minds, our choices, & our motives - ALL OF IT)! Thank you, Jesus! He doesn't remove His Love when we are broken. Instead, He crowns us with STEADFAST LOVE AND MERCY. And He accomplished everything through an act called atonement (God has provided a way for humankind to come back into harmonious relationship with Him. The shedding of Christ's blood on the cross covers all our sins — intentional and unintentional).
God has a plan to redeem all that concerns you, and He intends to begin with your heart. Will you receive His offer to redeem? Will you believe in His steadfast love? Or will you spend another year with your arms crossed, muttering to yourself something about how you'd do things differently?
Let's determine not to let pride keep us from this process. And beautiful Ones, in the midst of our suffering, isn't it amazing when HIS REDEMPTIVE LOVE makes a way and opens the door for blessings we never thought possible?! Come along with me as we leave our pride behind and allow our suffering to reconcile us to our Abba Daddy God! Take His hand as He extends it to you, asking that you walk with Him into a deeper relationship. You can trust our infinitely-wise, loving, gracious, good God in this work of redeeming it ALL. To the praise of HIS GLORY. The reason we were created...F.O.R. H.I.S. G.L.O.R.Y.
Please feel free to comment below. How is God working in your life today?
The song for this week...You're beautifully broken and you can be whole again. Even a million scars doesn't change whose you are, you're worthy. Beautifully broken.
